Jimmy’d bought the natural hardwood kind from Quebec. He showed Brandon how to stack it up in a pyramid with the newspaper underneath; he’d read up on it. “This way there’s no poisons from that lighter-fluid stuff getting in the meat. It’s the preferred method by barbeque experts.” When the fire wouldn’t start, Jimmy got pissed and used a little gasoline. When he tossed the match, the blast of flame almost set him on fire.
“Wow, that sure as hell got it going,” said Brandon. “Jimmy, you okay?”
He was rubbing his face with cold beer.

People in the rest areas wonder what the hell I was doin' when I flipped the hood up and grab my steak and potato. Then set up my chair and table start chowin' down. Guess they thought I was eatin' roadkill...................
