Thanks, guys!
That car was a lot of actual fun (thanks to clan DeBruin!).

Re: Passenger Cars 2021
Bit of a rebuild exercise here. Shows what poor shipping + Fed-ex tossing the box about will do to a model,

but I have the parts

Matching the paint might the biggest challenge....

This is coming along nicely.....

Should be done in a week or 3 weather permitting.....and a decision regarding lettering, etc.

Re: Passenger Cars 2021
And finished.....

Working on a 2nd one of these baggage cars, although it's an outside door version, and then it's on to the Robico kit cars. Was looking that stack over..... 2 to repair thanks to crappy shipping, one to restore/repair and save, 3 unbuilt kits, and then 2-3 others that are either restore/repair or just get salvaged for castings/parts and toss the leftovers.

Re: Passenger Cars 2021
This Baggage car was actually a scratchbuild exercise.
I'll be getting into the 19th century PRR Robico kit cars soon. Not sure what I'll be able to do with the rebuilt/restore cars - colors are mismatched and painting them to match might be a tricky adventure.

Re: Passenger Cars 2026
One rebuilt mail car -- not much more I could do w/o taking it completely apart. This one had all the door and window castings painted some version of Tuscan which is probably too dark for the era.

On to the next one on the series.

Thanks. The Robico cars that I am rebuilding are all a bit crudely assembled so I'm not ripping them all the way down and rebuilding in toto.
I should have another completed in a week or so. Once I get through the rebuilds, then I have the 3 unbuilt kits. Perhaps I can do better with those?

Yes. Please do!

I agree it looks great. Nice paint and decal work. Either I'm just noticing this era on EB or there has been an uptick of models available lately.

Thanks! I think it's significantly better vs. the starting point and that my stopping point is "good enough" w/o making things worse.
Can;t take any credit on decal and lettering - that was all on the car and the sides sections are come pre-painted & lettered. I just cleaned those up a little.

I'm not seeing that...... Maybe I need a different search algorithm in place? Where are you seeing cars of this era on EB?

Re: Passenger Cars 2021
Most likely just noticing this era due to your modeling posts on the forum. But, I see a lot of what appears to be late 19th and early 20th century train model, kits and items. They come up in my "O scale brass" even though many are not brass.
