I'm going to guess they were, likely, handmade by a group in a machine shop somewhere within the company.
There actually was(is?) a company that made the dump cars - Difco - Differential Dump Cars - came in single or double end versions for traction/trolley use and also as just trailers - also made these as regular RR dump cars, too.
