Maple Syrup from the Berkshires is so valuable it's not exported east the Conn River, west of the Hudson, south of the state line unless in direct exchange for Connecticut cheesecake (the one and true cheesecake) and certainly not North of Lake Shampoo.
Just say no to tree sap tapped by the Ben and Jerry socialists who call everything "organic", tell the city folks their maple trees are "free-range", then sneak a little sugar or Karo into the batch in the middle of the night.
Next best I've tasted was from (oddly enough) the mountains in Somerset County PA.
