I'll join you for a late brew! Drove down for a drill weekend and got carried away with my new building project. The things you can get down when you're away from the wife and kid!!!!!! :lol:

Jon, that FZVA is a hoot! How the h*ll do you find this stuff?

Well, my kids are at it again, this just behind the house. Airborne spotted it. Milk snake, I believe, but definitely a constrictor. Sucker could pull itself up to within 8 inches of your wrist. A lot more agile than the garter, which just thrashed. We knew he was around, having found his skin about 10 days ago. Same markings as our corn snake, just different colors.

Hev, it's VERY frequently mistaken for a copperhead- the markings are similar.
It's WAY too skinny for it's length, though. Copperheads are as fat and muscular as that picture of the rattlesnake you put up. Copperheads also have that fat triangular head, too, and their pupils are slits, not round like this snake.
Kim's dad is phobically terrified of snakes, and he'll blast them with a shotgun rather than hit them with a shovel. It's a shame. He killed two big black snakes outside his barn. Best damn mousers you can find. Other farmers would have welcomed them. I'd have been glad to have them around my house. Mice are a destructive pain in the *ss. Snakes don't chew wires or spread disease.

But he cracks me up. He'll stick his arm up a cow's tweeter to help deliver a calf. He guts and butchers his own deer. But if he has to change a kid's diaper, he puts on rubber gloves and about vomits for all his gagging! LOL
