We never left,
Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking.

Re: Seen in Print
Rufus, is that book (The Cloud of Unknowing) yours?
Have you read it? It is about how to know if God has called you to be with Him or not.
There are several publishers of the treatise. Each has minor differences in translation.
"Fleshly janglers, open praisers and blamers of themselves or of any other, tellers of trifles, runners and tattlers of tales, and all manner of pinchers, cared I never that they saw this book. For mine intent was never to write such thing unto them, and therefore I would that they meddle not therewith; neither they, nor any of these curious, lettered, or unlearned men. Yea, although that they be full good men of active living, yet this matter accordeth nothing to them."
Edited from the British Museum MS. Harl. 674
SECOND EDITION
London
JOHN M. WATKINS
21 Cecil Court, Charing Cross Road
1922
"But as for worldly praters, open praisers and blamers of themselves or of any other, gossips, whisperers, tale-bearers and all manner of carpers: cared I never that they saw this book. For mine intent was never to write such thing unto them. And therefore I would that they meddled not there with; neither they nor any of these curious learned or unlearned men. Yea, though they be full good men in active living, yet this matter accordeth nothing to them. "
