It’s interesting, to me, that as washed-clean and minimalist as that Concord edifice is, they still had to have a belfry . Purely practical , I’d suppose.

Concord Presbyterian Church in Hooker, PA

We've seen that in quite a few cards from that era with a reversed "s".

To me, that edifice speaks well of a calm, closely-knit, dignified community of like-minded, hardworking people who valued family and each other.

A simple structure that does not waste anything on being more than it is and its purpose.
