I couldn't talk my wife out of weed whacking the flowers around the house so I pulled this one to take its photograph. A few minutes later all its neighbors got whacked.

So what is it if not a weed?

BTW, my irises are in bloom, most of my azaleas are, the rhodo's are about to be, and the peony's are loaded with buds about to open. The large sage is also in bloom.

 It is not a weed, it is a Valerianella radiata flower.

Nice description Murph but too generalized.

More likely from a more southwesterly tribe based on the limited visible landforms and vegetation.

That appears to be a young elks head with a feather hanging from an antler. I can't find any documentation on the significance of the feather but it does appear to be a common adornment. Of course he could just as easily be a knight who says ni.
