It's a famous painting which has had some key elements removed ; that is, the humans. However, the tone or mood/ message of the painting remains. Edward Hopper.

Do I discern representations of Elvis, Marilyn, Bogart, and James Dean socializing there (?!) Clever. "Pre-Covid," equally clever, too ! :D

Yup. That's how it works. Did for me, and raking leaves and clearing sidewalks and porches of snow became part of the services that a good son performed , also ; for me, happily so .

Every day, when my father returned home from his foreman's duties in the nearby steelmill, he always had a toy car or truck or a candy bar for me. Every day.

Who could not be grateful and honor such a father with chores around the house and yard. I never complained about the work; rather, I was proud of how well he felt and expressed that I had done my jobs.

Thank God I did . He died when I was ten, so I rolled right into doing those same tasks and plenty more for my young widowed mother.

I spend entirely too many hours a day tying my shoes

I must be weird (no comments) I like to cut my grass. Lots of thinking goes on while I mow.
