Don't kid yourself about that, I have downloaded several movies from you tube that are way beyond being R rated. Into X territory. These are mostly foreign films but they are in English..

I would like to address this to Niel and Rufus and in no way do I mean for any of it to be antagonistic to anyone. It may take a little while to get to the question (s).
Today, Saturday 3/6 and tomorrow 3/7 our local train show is taking place. With my sons help I am selling a few items.The show is in a different venue than past shows and the number of vendors is @ half of past years and attendance is @ one third at most. Most attendees are from Georgia and South Carolina. @ 95% wore masks. A Hilton Head area vendor in conversation with my son said the following (paraphrased); "If you are tested and told that you have Covid you must go to the hospital right away and insist that you be given the same treatment of three drugs that Trump received immediately and you won't get covid." When asked why this is not known to all the response was "They don't want people to know so there will be more deaths". To my son and me this sounded like some conspiracy theory stuff.
Now the question is is there any truth to any of this ( We don't think so) and where does it come from?

I'm NOT worrying. Just want some opinions.

I probably should never have mentioned this. I don't care about Trumps position in this or anything about the ex president at all. I was interested in the medical question concerning the treatment that we supposedly are not being told about and if there is such a treatment. Concerning the poor choice of words about getting covid if you already have it, the lady probably meant that you would recover more quickly.

Trump received treatments that are now fairly standard. It probably saved his life. Those are remdesivir (a direct acting anti-viral), steroids (for deteriorating patients as an anti-inflammatory) and monoclonal antibodies against the virus (as an anti-viral). There are some other therapies that have been shown to beneficially modify the course of the infection. This sort of treatment is almost universal for patients who are sick enough to get into the hospital, although they are usually given early (the monoclonals) and later (the steroids and remdesivir) in the course of deterioration. The notion that they are secret or not well known (if you read any newspaper in any form) is absurd. There have been enormous amounts of publicity over the last 5-8 months in the media. The public knows if they are paying attention and healthcare workers who are involved in the care of these patients know. These treatments are not close to 100% effective, so patients still die. The treatments are sometimes given too late in the course of the illness and we need better treatments. Vaccines are much more effective at preventing illness and death, hence the emphasis on getting everyone vaccinated, except for those who refuse and don't mind dying or killing others. Or are too scared, misinformed or ignorant, of whom there are a lot. And the conspiracy theorists who think Bill Gates is placing a chip in the vaccine. I guess that qualifies as misinformed.

There is no magic treatment you aren't being told about. First because it doesn't exist. Secondly because if it did exist, there's no possibility that it could be kept secret. The only successful conspiracies are those that involve maybe 1-3 people. Anything more and someone spills the beans .

The notion that healthcare workers don't want to mitigate suffering and death (or at least the 99.999% of us who aren't homicidal lunatics) is beneath contempt and shows a willingness to believe all sorts of rubbish because it makes the poor sod feel better about himself and the dangerous world out there. If he can blame someone other than God, the hostile universe, etc. he feels safer and smarter. Like most conspiracy theory believers. Some folks find it more comforting to believe there are evil human beings, demons or whatever to blame for almost everything, instead of the implacable fact that bad stuff happens that we cannot control. For example, we all die eventually. Not a Democratic plot or due to a Satanic cult.

It appears to be the teacher's union upset. J&J is the least effective. This puts teachers at a higher risk while working. Monday the 8th will be the third or fourth week . Philadelphia teachers were to go back. Every week the find a new reason not to return. I can tell you " Kids are having a horrible time right now" It's time somebody either opens philly's schools or changes the system. Philadelphia's suburbs are fighting for vaccines. Bucks county ranks fourth in population and 53rd in doses received. All counties but on have joined together to vaccinate people. If you live in bucks. You can go to Adams,Monroe,Berks,chester along with 60+ other counties and get a vaccine. Only Philadelphia will not vaccinate out of county residents.
