Frederic Model Co. ???

Looks like an interesting kit. 2 different listing, one fresh and one with the frame assembled. Never heard of this company.

Butch,

They sold Lobaugh kits repackaged with their branding. I don't know if they ever actually produced the kits or just kited remaining inventory. The sides were prepainted and look exactly like the original Lobaugh. Once built you can't tell the difference.

That does explain why all the parts looked like Lobaugh parts,

It looks like a nice kit. The one with the frame assembled, is missing the end sills and they might be in the two paper envelops, but might not and getting satisfaction from this seller could be hard.

He's the seller who embellishes condition, tells lies by omission, enhances the truth and builds up stories of "rare and hard to find" when it is not true......like the MG BB he's selling. He's appears to be nothing more than an estate scrounge and then unloads on EB for big profits.

"Seller does not accept returns" tells you all you need to know.

Almost everything he's selling that's 2 rail is from the Neill estate auction that Stout handled last year. He's almost certainly working from whatever notes that Stephan left behind to identify stuff or just working from whatever is written on the ends of the boxes. Most right, some wrong, and some kit brands I've never heard of - lot of history passing by.........

Exacta pass car and traction kits the other night sold well! Zoomed right by me,

I'm wrong. This seller is not the same as the one selling the BB. Believe this seller is Keith Wiseman's company.

The BB seller isn't a train guy from looking at his other auctions, but he seems to start real high and then take best offer.

Wiseman left eBay at the beginning of the year. You might have seen the announcement/letter in OST,

Yes, I remember reading that, I was only going on the fact both people show KY as their location. My bad.

I was watching to bid on one of these two models, but the prices rapidly exceeded my budget for a "maybe it's a good kit for me", so I passed. Kits seem to be enjoying a resurgence and price increase the past year.

Very, very few that I have bid on have come home here. Whether the buyers are building or collecting them is unknown.

There might be more if just a few more would actually post anything or show any interest. :?
