If it had a restaurant/kitchen then they can open up the food service part for take out. Liquor license is more complicated. Beer and wine, maybe, depending on state and local regulations. Straight shots and cocktails probably not.

Most owners now have their titty in a ringer. When pa went smoke free. These guys fudged their books. If food was a certain percentage or less in sales. You could stay a smoking establishment. Now the can’t reopen for curbside. Pa has a record of their low food sales numbers

If I go into a restaurant and smell tobacco smoke, I will turn around and leave. Smoking in any public place should be banned and violators heavily punished.

Only public smoking here is outside in isolated designated areas.

I was a long time smoker and when cigs got to $2.00 a pack I decided to quit. I bought my first pack for nine cents and matches were free.
Everyone in my family smoked. It wasn't easy to quit but I just thought of the money I could spend on something else.
Some cigarettes today smell good but the cheaper ones are awful. A lot of cheap ones are sold around here. The only places that I have noticed
that are smoke free even outside are schools and hospitals. I don't miss smoking nor do I get upset when I smell smoke.
Unless it is a building or a woods on fire.

Maybe not. local businesses would need to hire people. Big box stores are hiring people on the spot. They need worker to restock items, clean carts and fill online orders.
One of the biggest gripes pa's small business owner have is. If you can buy a bicycle in Walmart today,Why can't you buy one in a small mom n pop store today. walmart, target, and other large chains were labeled essential. They have food and pharmacies. that's understandable. Then rope off the tv section, bicycles, toys and all other items not food or pharmaceuticals there is a group in Pa trying to have our governor impeached over limiting fair trade.

I understand but "big box stores" aren't small business either.
Don't the stores you want closed hire more people than the others?
You would also need to include truck drivers, etc., in the count.
I personally am sorry that so many small businesses have closed
because of the Walmart type of stores but most people want
lower prices so they can get more stuff cheap.

Yes, it would put several millions out of work. Some people fail to think things through while making very foolish statements not thinking of the consequences of such actions.

As for that helping small businesses - it won't. They just don't have the inventory, the supply pipeline, or any way to make deliveries. What they do however is another facet of this foolishness - the small businesses do work through Amazon to move their products as well as other sites like Etsy and even eBay. Lots of small businesses use these sites to get national and world-wide exposure to market their products.

I may not be as dumb as I think I am.
Now that really doesn't need an answer, such as "Oh yes you are".
