True of all organized religions.

Really?

Sure. All organized religions, i.e., those that are effectively businesses masquerading as religions accumulating wealth, property, etc., involve man. Man is imperfect and fails to resist corruption.

Well, at least we can have faith in our government.

I can easily apply that Scenario to every president going back to 1992. And I have a few selects ones going back further. Like Nixon..

Oh, I can go further back than '92 pretty easily. Nixon probably was medicated,

Paranoia can be useful. Delusions of grandeur and a total detachment from reality is not.

Coronavirus: California governor orders release of 7 high-level sex offenders as he criminalizes beach attendance

Just days before California's Gov. Gavin Newsom ordered the closure of parks and beaches in Orange County, making it a criminal offense to step foot in the sand, the state ordered the release of seven high-risk sex offenders from the county's jails over concerns they could contract coronavirus.

The move prompted the District Attorney's Office to issue a safety warning to the community this week, highlighting that the men are likely to re-offend.

"These kinds of high-risk sex offenders are the most dangerous kind of criminal and the most likely to re-offend," DA Todd Spitzer said in a statement. "They are doing everything they can to avoid detection by the parole officers assigned to monitor them so they can potentially commit additional sex offenses. These are not the kind of people who should be getting a break."

We live in interesting times.
Nixon's vice president, Spiro Agnew, spiraled down and resigned.
Then Nixon spiraled down after him and resigned.
Then Nixon's last vice president, Gerald Ford, stepping in for President Nixon, spiraled down the stairs.
Image
Then the United States started a downward spiral as Japanese cars became popular, eventually leading to government bail outs for the USA Auto Industry.
We continued the downward spiral until almost everything we buy says, "Made in China."
Then... China gave us COVID-19 and even my local JC Penney shuttered their doors.

My local market is out of toilet paper and corn.
