The Wells Whip Co photo

I take it they probably made buggy whips :?: That's a large building. be interesting to know the history.

I guess the automobile put them out of business.

Well, they could have catered to the bondage & S/M crowd at the turn of the century,

Probably. Demand for whips for the horsey set is probably not big enough to sustain a factory of that scale.

Not really - wrong area of the state and for some reason I do not see many RRPC's of that topic for some reason.

Not I. That photos would have been at least 3 if not 4 generations preceding me. Does however explain much of the mindset of much of PA.

The grandstand picture looks like a dirt track race track.

Looking on google maps there is a dirt tract in Kutztown now called Action Track USA.

Have not been to Kutztown in a long time. I have tried, but there is little enthusiasm from SWMBO'd,

So, go ahead, launch yourself out there on your own for a little adventure. I used to do so. My wife would say, "Go. Play. Have fun. See ya' when ya get back, babe."
For real. :D
