Or you can contact FM2 and ask what we as a community can do to insure the survival of the Forum.

You're the spiritual leader. I'll wait for your good sense and wisdom to know what to do.

Yes, you are, indeed. You lead; I'm the unwashed phenomenon, an original vagabond, and Wayne adds the depth, enriching worthwhile messages. You have a good heart and a good soul. You both do. We all know quality when we encounter it.

I do not think so, way too many other threads have gone political (not to mention pornographic) and nothing has been done about them.

Hello,
It was indeed the work of Moderator #2. The responses that were deleted were removed because they veered well off topic. I wouldn't expect that there will be any heavy handed moderation, just trying to keep on topic.

Great question!
MTJ continues on. I'm still searching for the passwords for administering the rest of the site so the front page can be updated. It would be great to grow the membership roster so that we can bring in more participants and continue to offer a community where hobbyists can feel welcome, just as Bill wanted.

Regards,

Mod2, In the real world, do people shut you up, if you go off-topic? I'd hope folks would be nicer than that, to you. No one wants to see threads hijacked but, using some discretion, most threads can handle a little topic drift.

Good drifting requires some thought, and practice.

FM 2,
My tag line says I support thread drift and I do. As stated many times the only time that conversations stay on topic is in classical debate.
This is one of the things that has made this forum what it is. Those that don't like what it is don't post here.
Could this be the beginning of the end for me? That is NOT a threat but I find the forums that don't allow thread drift to be a bit boring
when compared to MTJ.
roger

I support thread drift.

Don't worry about it, Roger. I have been told I am the worst thread-drift offender, and I have cut waaaaaaay back on yapping and drifting, so give it all time, and we will all adapt to the new view of how things shall be. I'm just glad we ARE all still here, so let's continue to romp onward and enjoy the company. Right? :D

Boring, dreary places w/o any entertainment value whatsoever....... MTJ is an oasis in a desert of mediocrity.

Does that make me a good-guy, then, with my myriad drifter-shenanigans in the name of conversation? Plus, we have Roy to monitor my submissions, and that's got to add a nice balance to the proceedings, right? Think of it - Roy and I as partners - partners in pure forum-threadness (!) Nice. Huh. :D It boggles the mind.
