Re: Feebay "Turner" Special
Price is right. Too bad the photos do not show what they really are. Good thing I have enough. If one of them is a Raymus, I would bid, but I cannot tell.
Thanks. My searches $o not always catch the stuff I like.

Maybe you should add "Junk" to your search

Lightened so you can see the drives. Crop out what you need.

Drives typically are not important. Sand-cast sides are my area of interest. It is clear that one unit has sheet metal sides. The Raymus sides will have rivet detail; Adams cast sides just have smooth batts. (Sp?)

I lightened up a side shot. Hard to tell. Two are sand cast, but didn't see rivets. One sand cast side unit has different roof appliances than the other two. The third is sheet brass.

We have talked about bad noses on PA's. This one on an EMD is as bad as the Tenshodo H0 brass F units.

Re: Feebay "Turner" Special
Those Tenshodo F's were a shame.....beautiful, except for the nose from H*ll !!!

Dave - thank you.
I just checked - $167 and counting. That is over triple what I would pay, even if I did not already have seven!
And it is junk, as Jay says - a lot of work before any of them would be semi-presentable.

I'm not buying either. If it fell in my lap (as happens...often), I'd clean, paint, make it go.

I hope you know, I was just pulling your chain. There is value in the items shown and I'm sure someone will make use of them. A piece here, a part there, after while you have enough to make something.
Many folks have asked me, where did I get all the parts I have? Some from Si, some from Lou but mostly looking under the table at shows. Under the tables? Yep, I love looking it boxes labeled, or at least considered junk. Shoot, on ebay (I'm not creative enough to come up with some BS name for it) a few years back, a guy was selling a bunch, of what looked like, the typical junk we see, but off to one side was a plastic storage bin. It had hundreds of the small bits and pieces for A-N F units. Sometimes we have to look closely for what isn't obvious. Of course, all collectors of door stops, and such, know this.
