Is it a gem or a pig in a polk?
Re: Is it a gem or a pig in a polk?
Once I built a railroad, I made it run,
Made it race against time.
Once I built a railroad, now it's done --
Brother, can you spare a dime?

Yes, there is a NWSL upgrade, but I'll probably go with Jay Criswell's Right O Way for axle sets. P&D and Des Plaines Hobbies are also available options.

As the literacy rate declines, you’ll ask yourself why the quality of life continues to deteriorate in ways large and small, and in almost every instance the answer will be: because people stopped reading.

Tom, the original gears were plastic. The NWSL gears are metal, and should last longer - as well as not being as prone to splitting.

There is half a million threads about these gears. new plastic gears are fine. Run an 1875 fluted ream through each axle gear and press them on. If i have mentioned the wrong size ream I'm sure somebody will chime in with the correct size.
