Forcats are usually nice to have around.
It does hurt a little when you tear down a layout
even when you know the next one will be better.

Yes, they are. Chief Foreman Pumpkin is upstairs somewhere "resting" from her supervisory labors (she keeps Samantha in line).

Yeah, tearing it down is a bit painful, but the anticipation is wonderful.

Funny how fast it is coming down. And yet how much work it is transporting all the lumber upstairs to the bagster.

Updated 4:17 PM 2/4/2017:

The first version of the PRR Panhandle is officially history.

Since 2010 on this forum, this layout has been viewed nearly 35,000 times. I want to express my very sincere and heartfelt thanks to all who have followed, commented, and encouraged me on this journey. I have to say that I am overwhelmed by the good will you all have sent my way.

God willing, it won't be too long until Panhandle 2.0 starts to take shape in our new home.

May God bless you all,

George

You need to burn a piece of bench work. It helps exorcise the demons from your first layout. It will keep them from moving into your new layout.

Updated 2/10/2017:

As Robert suggested, I actually did burn a piece of the layout (a broken GarGraves wooden tie).

The former train room is about to be painted.

We are making significant progress towards getting the house ready to sell. :!:

Indeed; a burnt offering should be made with all of the appropriate pomp and circumstance.

I considered jumping into the volcano, but that sort of negates the whole new start thing, doesn't it?

I never saw any normal woman hold her legs like that, like they do in those old movies and in the posters advertising them. I'm not sure what they're supposed to be saying.

During the demolition of the PRR Panhandle you saw Demolition Supervisor Samantha.

Our cameras managed to locate the mastermind behind the design and rebuilding of the Panhandle. Below is Project Manager Pumpkin hard at work.

Oh, yes, yes, yes, but as a boy, I found her to be a bit hefty - not quite thunder-thigh - she didn't jiggle, but there was a certain thickness there that seemed pretty "athletic," to me. at least.

How 'bout Rita Hayworth, who I'll bet was open to a romp in the hay.
