Theology is not unlike being in a dark room (or coal mine at night) while looking for a black cat that isn't there, and then frequently shouting loudly, "I found it!!!"
Once, men turned their thinking over to machines in the hopes that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.

Let's put this problem in perspective... https://youtu.be/EWPFmdAWRZ0

And remember how important we are from a theology standpoint:
7 And Jehovah God went on to form the man out of dust from the ground...
--Genesis 2:7
----Wayne----

Back when I was growing up, if you didn't start someth'n, there wouldn't be noth'n.

Our speck. Indeed. Where does it figure in. Where do we.

I think that Acts 2:38 takes care of that.

At least 2 of 3 were known for actually having a sense of humor, and would probably find it all very amusing.

Sadly, the lack of a sense of humor seems to be at epidemic levels and growing these days.

A wonderful point to make. I am sure you are right. (And a righteous dude, as well.)

I have no idea about "right". All too many believe that they must be "right". That can be a dead end trap. I am, however, willing to consider all possibilities, and make my own path forward to wherever it leads.

I think the lyrics in Black Sun by Dead Can Dance (Brenden Perry and Lisa Gerrard) sum it up:

Murderer!
Man of fire.

Murderer!
I've seen the eyes of living dead.
It's the same game - survival.
The great mass play a waiting game.
Embalmed, crippled, dying in fear of pain.
All sense of freedom gone.

Black sun in a white world.
Like having a black sun in a white world.

I have a son,
His name is Eden.
It's his birthright,
Beyond estranged time.

Give me 69 years,
Another season in this hell.
It's all sex and death as far as I can tell.

Like Prometheus we are bound,
Chained to this rock of a brave new world,
Our godforsaken lot.
And I feel that's all we've ever needed to know,
'Til worlds end and the seas run cold.

Give me 69 years,
Another season in this hell.
There is sex and death
In mother nature's plans.

Like Prometheus we are bound,
Chained to this rock of a brave new world,
Our godforsaken lot.

Acceptable. Carry on.

Perhaps Childlike Faith in Childhood's End is more appropriate?

Well, to paraphrase/quote a sentiment from "Babes in Toyland,"
Toyland, joyland, little girl and boy land... once you pass its border, you can never return again.

1934? Maybe. 1950? Maybe. Difficult to decide. I like when the song presents its inherent sentiment the most truthfully.

Was it used in "Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory"?

I think therefore I am stupid.
There is something more inherently powerful than I in this universe. When it presents itself to me and says believe I shall.
PS., I have been spanked by the light mercilessly in this life, but the light has never said believe because of what it has done.. strangely it has happened :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :?
