I was fortunate to meet Hev at the York TCA meet on my one trip to that event. He spent over an hour talking with me and I still remember him.
I do not remember what we talked about. More than trains. He was great fun.

Jon,
My eyes aren't as good as they once were and I am having trouble getting that picture to turn over. Hint, hint.

Although several women claimed to be the model for September Morn, Chabas never revealed her identity.

Along comes Tramp with, "A painting I did of Daisy a few years ago. Quite a few years ago."

Now we know who the model was.

A few years ago I was privileged enough to have been shared a video of Daisy wrapped in a bed sheet wailing on an electric guitar. I promise you Daisy would put that woman in the painting to shame with her looks. Not kidding! She is a blonde goddess.

Jon,
You saying that picture is not Daisy?
You saying I can't believe all those stories Tramp tells?
He really didn't drive like crazy all over the country and ride in box cars?

Boxcar riding, yes. Daisy in that painting, no.
She's way more stunning then that. Tramp is a blessed man.

I remember there was one guy Marty E who always wanted to see the tree. D and I no longer do the HUGE trees. This is 9 1/2 feet.

Roger, that painting is VERY famous. If you knew anything about art, you would know about it.

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas.

Tramp,
I know very little about art other than music and that doesn't include pop, and much country.

Tramp,

Very nice looking tree, and 9 1/2 feet is still a large tree in my book. Whatever the case it fits the space nicely.

As for "September Morn", from what I recall seeing of Daisy in some of your posts, she wins that contest, no sweat....a very pretty lady!

Happy Holidays,
Rich

I think this Christmas us old farts could use a beverage cart update!
So may I present:

Now I normally wouldn't touch a Budweiser with a ten foot pole. But little miss serving girl could probably talk me into a can or two.

Jon, it's sad but I don't ride my Ducati anymore. I like my life too much now, and I just turned 60. I figure I tested the road gods enough, besides I've become agoraphobic, which is crazy for a guy who lived to travel, but the world has changed. Bunch of idiots and savages out there now.

Cheers!

Once, men turned their thinking over to machines in the hopes that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.

you don't quit riding because you grow old. You grow old because you quit riding. Idiots are everywhere. I'll take you for a ride 6FT. up in my international truck. you'll see people texting @ 75 mph. or watching tv on their cellphones. Almost every day somebody blows by me in a double yellow line. Red lights are run by people 5-6 seconds late. I keep my bike off the road also. 6 volt lights and hand signals don't cut it anymore.
I spend entirely too many hours a day tying my shoes
