Lobaugh Freight Cars
Martin suggested this. I went back to see if our older freight car threads were still there - nope. Not even that neat "car of the week" that Maroon did such a nice job on.
Martin says it should be orderly - good luck with that. In fact, if i don't get any responses, you may not even see all my Lobaugh freight cars ( I really don't have that many).
I did see a few Challenger threads, including that one where a guy was going to convert one. We wished him luck and asked him tp report back.
So, herewith, in as close to some semblance of order as my disheviled personality permits:

Too late for my era but that gondola is impressive. Gondolas are so underrepresented. I am new to O scale so this thread will be enlightening, I hope.

Re: Lobaugh Freight Cars
So I will match Bob on this one if I can, but not with photos of the Lobaugh cars I own. Instead, I will post catalog shots of Bob's models. Here is the gondola in the 1940 catalog:

I believe Bob's model is the "standard" type, which is not specifically identified as a mill type. Not sure what the intent here was.
No guarantees I can keep up with Bob. He has the photos already at hand and I have my work cut out to get the catalog shot.

I will try to go slow. Hopefully, others have some Lobaugh, or even non- Lobaugh but older, freight cars to share.

Dredge up? Was there an incident involving an open drawbridge? Or perhaps a track washout? Capsized car ferry?
Here is the Mobilgas tank, new in 1941:

No; just under the weather and only up and about periodically.
