Looked like "School of Information Studies, York College, Pennsylvania" to me, until you said, "Soldiers and Orphans Industrial School."

I see the Pennsylvania legislative Act of May 27, 1893, P.L. 171, No. 118 provided a "SOLDIERS ORPHANS INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL" for veteran's children orphaned by the Civil War.

I was a middle and high school band director [instrumental music teacher to some] for many years.
Strange things were often discussed in my classes that had nothing to do directly with band.
Most often these things were about learning.
On many forums we would not have had the chance to read Waynes',in this case,reply.
