Huh? what?

So it didn't cross over the Conococheague on a bridge that's still there in Scotland or over the Conococheague in Chambersburg back behind Wilson College or above Red Bridge, or the branch over the bridge in Williamson?

I used to go fishing in all of those spots...

And while all of that is absolutely true, given, accepted, the original photo as posted said Cumberland Valley Railway. Conrail abandoned most major section of it by 1981...yet, tracks are still in place through Scotland.
There are still tracks in place through Chambersburg....the bridge out off Wilson College Road still has well maintained tracks...was it the CVRR? Even tho ConRail abandoned most major sections?
Dave....gone by invitation

It was CVRR, then PRR, then PC, and then pretty much what's left - the main line is still in daily use through that entire area - also connects up to Letterkenny Depot.

Tracks back around Wilson are now gone - last time I drove through Chambersburg in March I saw that they seemed to be gone. Did stop in at the remainder of the roundhouse that's now a farmer's market & flea market place.

Bridge in Willamson is condemned and they have a new one in place.

The trolley station down at Caledonia Park part way between Chambersburg and Gettysburg - wish that open car was running back and forth there today. That would be a great ride.

That's quite a station.Business must have been good or the owners were being hopeful.

I have had a couple of very good subs from the Amish deli in that place; not to mention some great lps from a vendor in the flea market area.

I think that this was more of "resort" away from the hustle & bustle of the big city of Chambersburg.

Rufus,What/who are you now???I have not seen that before.

Blue Oyster Cult Astronomy Lyrics Or Metallica

Clock strikes twelve and moondrops burst
Out at you from their hiding place
Like acid and oil on a madman's face
His reason tends to fly away
Like lesser birds on the four winds
Like silver scrapes in may
And now the sand's become a crust
Most of you have gone away

Come susie dear, let's take a walk
Just out there upon the beach
I know you'll soon be married
And you'll want to know where winds come from
Well it's never said at all
On the map that carrie reads
Behind the clock back there you know
At the four winds bar

Hey! hey! hey! hey!

Four winds at the four winds bar
Two doors locked and windows barred
One door to let to take you in
The other one just mirrors it

Hey! hey! hey! hey!

Hellish glare and inference
The other one's a duplicate
The queenly flux, eternal light
Or the light that never warms
Yes the light that never, never warms
Or the light that never
Never warms
Never warms
Never warms

The clock strikes twelve and moondrops burst
Out at you from their hiding place
Miss carrie nurse and susie dear
Would find themselves at four winds bar

It's the nexus of the crisis
And the origin of storms
Just the place to hopelessly
Encounter time and then came me

Hey!hey! hey! hey!

Call me desdinova
Eternal light
These gravely digs of mine
Will surely prove a sight
And don't forget my dog
Fixed and consequent

Astronomy...a star

I'm going to start a new 1 or 2 that are event specific - 5-6 RPPC's that were issued as sets.

Got to also dig into my collection of other cards to find some more "interesting" ones.

Ok, unrelated, but still an interesting backwoods hovel for the local slack jawed yokel to call home...
