Murph,

I can assure you the answer is 42. If you pay attention, the answer is everywhere. I was born in 1942.

See the 3x3x3 cube of numbers below?

cube 42.jpg (27.39 KiB) Viewed 2380 times

All rows in all directions add to 42.

The product of the first three terms of Sylvester's sequence is 42; i.e., 2, 3, 7, 43, 1807, 3263443, 10650056950807, 113423713055421844361000443. Etc., etc.

Most people don't notice.

8) This one's for Hev... 8)

Does it seem possible that two firemen, on their feet, could pull a ladder off a firetruck, sprint with it 20 yards, put it up, and have one of the firemen through a third story window....

...and all in 12 seconds flat??

http://www.wimp.com/firefighterexam/

Unbe-freakin'-lievable!

 8) 8) 8) 8)

 Cute, but in my case, that would be flatulent (in my apparently, ever-developing, crop-dusting-able  slash-and-burn :o "senior" weaponry, and I'm taking no prisoners. :P Askanybody who had the misfortune to walk down the cereal aisle yesterday just after I left it :( .

P.S. (So ya' see, Mitch, ya'll were lucky I was otherwise pre-occupied during the R&T :? The wind, rain, mud, trees, and open fields would have made noooooooo difference. Alas. :| )

Try to imagine Murph and Rufus live,in person,on the same stage,at the same time.

I would love to be there.

Dirt. 12 seconds. Ridiculous. I hope they work in Downtown STL.

Hev, Happy Anniversary. 30 is really excellent. Congrats!

Wayne, that "Magic Cube" is really sumpin. I was just studying up on it the other day for some unknown reason... started as a side trip in Wiki I think...

Murph, Maybe fatuous flatulence? Please stay away from the dried beans and mexican food aisle. For the sake of humanity sir!

Rufus, you are able to communicate so much by saying so little. I stand continually impressed. 8)

Dennis. Welcome back. Still haven't ballasted everything yet, but already know I'll need more. Its really good stuff! :D

Roger, Clowns and moons on the same stage? I would camp out for tickets.

Roger2, Yup. The three amigos would get some interesting what-is-it shots, eh?
