Love the idea of your house on your layout and the shot of "you two".
Talk to you next year.
San

Del Mar San, For some sentimental (and nutcase fanatic) reason, I keep that vignette of or home up to date, to the extent of climbing onto the layout (not a pretty sight - I do it when nobody is around) to increase the sizes of the various foliation in the yard ( , oh brother,) as the real greenery grows through the years. However, the cars I keep as representatives of cars we have had and loved;however, at present, we have a M. Benz "GLK' and an "E". When I find those models, I will update that detail, too.

The green truck and the young male figure in front of the house represent a neighborhood boy who was the first to greet us as newlyweds, in our new house, in our new neighborhood; he was ten. Since then, he has become our "adopted son," not that he didn't have his own perfectly wonderful parents. Yet, he took to anointing us as Dad2 and Mom2, and he is the one who had that model of our house custom crafted and presented it to us for our anniversary. Thus, he is represented as part of our home, permanently on our layout.

Well! It is really nice to see so many that we talk [?] with on this forum.

If I had a pic of my wife and I and if I could remember how to post it,I would.

Jon,

I like the size of your cup! It puts me in mind of a fellow who came into a tavern I used to frequent back in my misspent??? youth. He sidled up to the bar and said: " I only have time for one......give me a large pitcher!"

Happy New Year All......I will grab a Heine and offer a toast shortly!

Yes, you are right, Roger, this is really pleasant seeing many of the faces with whom we have become acquainted via this forum. Pictures help make up for the fact that we do not have facial expressions or tone of voice to further inform us of a poster's personality and intentions.

It was a treat seeing what Daisy and Tramp really look like, esp. since they are very close to what I pictured in my mind. And Andre is almost exactly how I imagined him to be - now how did that come about, one wonders.

It's all a very nice way to come together further, via sharing photos, as a little community that regards most of its members positively, despite many of us being strangers in person. We disappear the moment we step away from the computers. Turn the electricity off or stay away from MTJ and we are gone forever from lives that have included fairly passionate emotions, at times. An interesting phenomenon, indeed.

My heros of 2009: All the men and women in the armed services.
My vote for hero of the year: "Sully" Sullenberger (As a glider pilot myself, I can really appreciate Sully's water landing of a 170,000 lb glider.)

What nice photos. Even hung over they look good, which is saying something. Murph, you look like one of the original American patriots. Dennis, you do have a bit of pirate in you. Jon owns the Popeye pose. Another classic from Hev. Great California Christmas shots from San. Wayne looks rather more than cheerful next to his beautiful wife. Andre with the stare. Marty, I finally get a clear view of you. But where is Pete, the master of the tin cup ceremony? Did everyone notice that D and I have arrows through our heads?

Happy New Year!

Jon, when does the beverage cart roll through Maine? I pray the snow doesn't slow it down. Might have to place skis under the thing.
