Used to really like that wood, but it and the style of the furniture just never fit in with quarter sawn oak that the preponderance of our furniture was made - mission style and Stickley and on the fringes, Eastlake.

In the Cross Fork picture I think I see crosswalks, probably wooden, across the street. That does not seem to be seen often and I don't
recall ever seeing it modeled on a model railroad.

What's with Thelma-Lou, top row in the back. Looks like she's been held back a few years...wonder why she's dressed in all black?

That's Thelma-Lou Addams -- every class has a Goth girl in it.

Yes, that barrel was what put the handmade idea into head - weren't the guys who made them called "coopers"? (I don't know what old corner of my brain that word popped out if.)

The CVRR had some nice stations...I haven't been up to Chambersburg for a while but I seem to recall bits of that one remain.

Hope this one isn't a duplicate:

Shippensburg was also the terminus of the Western Maryland's Baltimore & Cumberland Valley line where I believe it connected with the Philadelphia & Reading. Presumably there was some sort of "union" station to accommodate that service as well.

Posted that other photo so long ago that I'm not even sure that the thread it was on still exists,

Actually, somewhere I have photos/card of the WMRR station - unlike in HJagerstown where there was a shared station, they had their own stations in Chambersburg, at least early on.....competitors that were not cooperative at times
