Used to really like that wood, but it and the style of the furniture just never fit in with quarter sawn oak that the preponderance of our furniture was made - mission style and Stickley and on the fringes, Eastlake.

In the Cross Fork picture I think I see crosswalks, probably wooden, across the street. That does not seem to be seen often and I don't
recall ever seeing it modeled on a model railroad.

The CVRR had some nice stations...I haven't been up to Chambersburg for a while but I seem to recall bits of that one remain.

Shippensburg was also the terminus of the Western Maryland's Baltimore & Cumberland Valley line where I believe it connected with the Philadelphia & Reading. Presumably there was some sort of "union" station to accommodate that service as well.

Actually, somewhere I have photos/card of the WMRR station - unlike in HJagerstown where there was a shared station, they had their own stations in Chambersburg, at least early on.....competitors that were not cooperative at times
