2/5/19

It warmed up a little up here in Detroit (34F) so I decided to go out and shoot some trains this afternoon

CN M382 at the Lincoln St Art Park in New Center Detroit. This train originates at CSX Walbridge Yard in Toledo, OH and goes to Sarnia, ON

Lucas,

Thank you! for sharing your images of the Durand, MI area.
https://flic.kr/p/2eQDj1v
You've found a few of my train watching spots!

You keep getting betterer 'n' betterer!!

FTR, back when I was a teenager, there was a 50k gallon water tank located where the radio tower is now east of the station, and the Grand Trunk Western was still running steam, ...and I had a girlfriend who lived two blocks south....

Yup, the "good ole days", really were, for me.

(Opinion = The Great Lakes Central has one of the better current paint schemes of any RR.)
(I agree on the KCS paint scheme.)

Thanks, Myron! Durand is one of my all-time favorite spots. CN, GLC and HESR and road, local and passenger trains. Something for everyone!
