It is a lease engine from CIT Group, with the reporting mark CEFX. I see them around a lot on Canadian Pacific trains, especially ethanol unit trains

There's about 600' of track between the highway overpass and that end of track bumper. I was trying to figure out why the train was even "there" until I pulled back on Google Earth. The service entrance to the plant is just on the far side of the highway crossing making for a narrow wye. To get into or out of the plant you have to go past the I-75 overpass on that dead end spur.

There's a lot of "interesting" trackage in that area that could make for a nice switching layout (just inland of "Zug Island" near the Rouge complex.

That little piece of curve where Lucas was standing almost give the appearance that the track has been cut back. An interesting detail to model.

Here is a screen grab from Google earth of the end of the line for that spur. There is a main line just to the left and there are crossing tracks just below the photo. I can't see any evidence that the track went much further that what we see in the photo. It also looks like this was shot with a longer lens and we may be getting some "flattening" effects that are making the distances and curves harder to judge.

The DelRay tower is just the lower right of the image and technically this is "inverted". The bottom of the photo is actually "north".

Is that CP train heading into the Detroit River Tunnel?

Yes it is. They run them surprisingly fast through the tunnel

Caught the always-reliable CP T28 yesterday afternoon. This is a daily transfer both ways between Windsor, Canada and NS Oakwood Yard in Melvindale, MI

Saw CP T27 sitting on the I-75 overpass so I caught it down at Delray this afternoon
