I agree with Roger Jon. Your still life has marvelous composition, balance, clarity and sparkle. When one has had enough of the simple composition in the foreground, the eye wanders to the out of focus background. Just enough of which shows to spark your curiosity, yet not enough to satisfy it.

Coming home from work last night, on the road leading up our hill, there was a yearling doe standing in the middle of the road, and while I'm motoring along at 40 MPH, I'm thinking it's soon going to bolt. But it stood there unconcerned, so I slowed, and then finally came to a full stop 10 feet from the deer, it standing there square in my headlights. I sat there fully 30 seconds, the doe just looking at me. Finally, I cranked the steering wheel over, slowly drove around it with my wheel on the shoulder, and it just stood there and watched me roll on by. Only in my rearview did it finally saunter of the road.

"D*mned impertinent", I thought to myself.

I said it before, on the 'critters' thread.
It's the deer that are the real antisocials.

Pete, I'm sure you know deer become hypnotized by headlights. If you'd shut of your lights, it would've run off, unless it just needed a hug and had heard about you.
