No H also Murph, sorry. Google pierogies. You'll need a Hunkie (sp) dictionary to find most of the words used in Pittsburgh, also spelled Picksburgh. :roll:

OK. Good thing I was my usual easy-going-self when I first heard from you on this heavy matter, Water Man, because when I went to "PCH Search & Win" and typed in "PIEROGIES" ...... bang! There it was. In a flash, the world let me know that, yes, info on what seemed to me too obscure a topic to search for was, indeed, ready to be explained to me. :) AND, I noted (Are you paying attention Rufus?) that the third entry down the page was by Wikipedia, which offered the news that "pierogi" was the singular, but since numerous of the li'l buggers were usually eaten at one time, the plural, "pierogies' was typically used. How nice to know. I feel much better now. :D See why I like to come play here!

Happy belated birthday Jon. and yes good ole pierogies... My wife is Polish and we just had some pierogies the other day and we haven't had them for a while. Of course they were Mrs. T's but my wife and her Mother used to make pierogies from scratch with potatoes and onions and used to melt butter with onions and they were out of this world. Least she made the butter and onions for the pierogies and like I said we haven't had them in quite a while and we both had 10 of them for supper. Not good for a diabetic but some times ya just gotta go at it right.
