We have a sideboard kind of thing that I think used to be a china cabinet of some sort, but with the doors long gone, that I inherited from my Mom. Kim had had craft-type things on it, but then one day, I stuck a lantern on it, and she went nuts. She loved it! She said because it was antique-ish, and it's sense of history. She asked me if I had any more... LOL, (silly woman). I kept dragging more stuff out of the basement. Filled the f*cker! (And still have stuff left over!) She was thrilled. Who would have known?

Hey, I got a modern-day anachronism for you.
I took my Low Glide to get inspected Thursday, and it was a blistering hot dry day. I had no sooner kicked down the sidestand when the ponytailed mechanic ambles out to take a look. First thing I asked him was whether he had a soda machine. He apologized, said "No", but offered me an iced-tea. I was sucking-thirsty, but man, I don't like tea, so I sez, "No thanks, but thanks anyway", and then he says "Would you like a beer?" and extracts a Keystone Light from his fridge in the back. Damn!! That thing tasted like the nectar of the Gods, and went down in three long pulls.
And people say that there are no Full-Service gas stations anymore!!
Great old garage, btw. Chock full of posters and calendars of naked women!!
