Tom McComas, author and independent filmmaker, died on August 8 in Michigan City, Indiana. He was 86.

It would be tough to find someone that had a bigger influence on the three-rail O-gauge toy train hobby over the last 4-5 decades. He was a heck of an ambassador and, fortunately, he leaves behind a massive body of work, nearly all of which is terrific.
