LifeLock requires your private information in order to search the internet for someone using your identity.
LifeLock's User Agreement has the following requriment--
Unauthorized Access to Your Account. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you keep your user name and password safe. Do not share this information with others and notify us right away of any unauthorized use. You’re responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We encourage you to ensure you are safe online and be aware of phishing and other means third parties use to access your information online.

LifeLock is one more thing you will be responsible for monitoring for possible idenity theft of your idenity.
Norton LifeLock says thousands of customer accounts breached.
Zack Whittaker@zackwhittaker / 1:21 PM CST•January 15, 2023
Thousands of Norton LifeLock customers had their accounts compromised in recent weeks, potentially allowing criminal hackers access to customer password managers, the company revealed in a recent data breach notice.

The Norton LifeLock License and Services Agreement (LSA) says, "You’re responsible for all activities that occur under your account."
How could you be responsible if LifeLock fails to protect your identity?
In a notice to customers, Gen Digital, the parent company of Norton LifeLock, said that the likely culprit was a credential stuffing attack — where previously exposed or breached credentials are used to break into accounts on different sites and services that share the same passwords — rather than a compromise of its systems. It’s why two-factor authentication, which Norton LifeLock offers, is recommended, as it blocks attackers from accessing someone’s account with just their password.

That you had asked previously very recently was curious, not tedious.
However, the answers have not changed. You yourself are your best protector of your information

Re: Seen in Print
Wow, Webenda (!) once again, you come through with tremendously helpful information and perspective . Thank you very much.
I had suspected they’d be needing such info from me which is why I hesitated to the point of finding joining them anathema. There was no way I was going to begin any connection by providing Soc Sec number.
You are a gentleman of facts and kindness.
Thank you, most sincerely.

There is a very short list of legitimate organizations unto which you might need to provide that information to......and from all others, run away.

You are welcome, Murph.
Tax-related identity theft occurs when someone uses your stolen personal information, including your Social Security number, to file a tax return claiming a fraudulent refund. If you have any tax withholding and the thief beats you to filing, the thief gets it all.
This time of year (tax time) organizations like Norton LifeLock advise heavily that they can protect your SSN. They cannot. LifeLock only informs you of data breaches. They cannot take care of the problem for you.
The IRS has good information on how you can protect yourself.
