How do you know that they were good? I've tossed these out several times over the years. Think I don;t even have a pair now since I was so disgusted with the last pair.

Were the ones you had real vise grips or maybe some cheap knockoffs

I have several vise grips that are 40 years old that still work like new.

They were real -- and real crap as well. I never replaced them. I get better tools hitting farm auctions.

Wait a minute! Are you talking about vise grips or VICE grips? Vice grips are a whole different story. And that's all I have to say about that.
