Resin?

Yes. Looks like a home job 3D print if I had to guess. I find the plastic to be cheap and rather fragile. I don’t know much about 3D printing but I would imagine like anything else, there are really good mediums to work with and not so good. I have limited experience with this stuff but if I had to guess it’s not very good.

It’s True color B&M Maroon very heavily thinned and applied with an airbrush.

The local public library has a tech-center that has 3D printers one can use. You have to take a 30-minute training session first, but the you can use their gear. I bought some print files, so in a month or two I plan to go in there and give it a whirl.

I was thinking it might just be cast resin, not printed resin. I'd only use the printed resin to make casting masters and then cast in resin.
As the literacy rate declines, you’ll ask yourself why the quality of life continues to deteriorate in ways large and small, and in almost every instance the answer will be: because people stopped reading.

Not completely sure I know the difference. If I had to describe it I’d say it’s slightly brittle with a limited amount of flexibility. The floor seemed more like a resin than the walls. I would say it was more of a resin, much more rigid.

That brittle feeling - that's what I've noticed in 3D printed resin.

Is it difficult to paint 3d printed stuff?
I spend entirely too many hours a day tying my shoes

I washed the parts with soap and water then airbrushed normally. I cut the paint with acetone and didn’t seem to have any bonding issues.

This is the potential problem I see with home job 3-D prints. I picked this piece up at the show. A random guy was giving out parts I suppose to show what can be done with a 3-D printer. You can clearly see in the photos how badly this frame is warped. I don’t know what causes it. Possibly the plastic getting too hot, or maybe cooling too quickly? Is there heat generated in the process of 3-D printing? Probably questions that should be answered before you assume any 3-D print is going to be a high-quality piece.

I've noticed this with the small printed ship models, although those seem to warp over time (might be perfectly straight when I receive them, but months later when I finally get around to painting there sometimes is a bit of bow-to-stern warpage). Most are printed in clear/translucent resin which tends to cloud with the passage of time. I don't notice that the material becomes brittle, but that's a concern. When you use them for gaming, they get handled quite a bit. Basing them tends to cut down on handling-damage.

So, backed up and started doing an interior....

Roof fits down into the body a good bit so I had to cut off the doors, etc.

You need a see thru roof on that one so we can admire all that interesting detail. :)
