As the literacy rate declines, you’ll ask yourself why the quality of life continues to deteriorate in ways large and small, and in almost every instance the answer will be: because people stopped reading.

Re: The Modelers Thread
The exposed studs on the interior of the exterior walls look good. Do you put interiors in these things, i.e. workbenches, counters, equipment, etc.? The exposed studs add to a rustic look, if that's what would be appropriate.

Thanks! If I go to the trouble of building 2x4 stud walls, I tend to have an idea for some sort of interior bit to be visible.
In this case I'll be adding a parts bin across the back wall and then leave the door open, but I think that's all that will be ready visible once it's all assembled.

Looking good...the "bones" of construction look very prototypical. Will this get a platform adjacent?

Thanks; making rafters is tedious stuff,
Steps to entry way platform, larger loading dock platform in front of the double doors, another smaller platform with steps around back from the back door......

Re: The Modelers Thread
Really nice detail work. The diagonal composition of the door makes it.

Thanks! I like to use diagonal boards on doors - really adds visual interest; got a stack of reefer cars to rebuild on the floor some of which will no doubt get diagonal door board treatment.

Ugh, louvers! Well done.
Have you ever tried making a louver for the end-wall peak of a building. A compound-angle nightmare, for sure. I remember being taught how to set it up on a table saw back in my college summer-days while working in a shop that made such things on a custom basis. Couldn't do it now on a bet.
