Nudge, nudge.
As the literacy rate declines, you’ll ask yourself why the quality of life continues to deteriorate in ways large and small, and in almost every instance the answer will be: because people stopped reading.

"Well," answers the balloonist, "everything you tell me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you're not much help to me."

The man smiles and responds, "You must be a Democrat."

"I am,” replies the balloonist. “How did you know?"

"Well," says the man, "You don't know where you are or where you're going. You've risen to where you are due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and now you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but now, somehow, it's my fault.”

I missed this the first time around. Excellent.

Classic - whenever challenged, attack and snidely denigrate, and still refuse to actually be helpful to anyone except his own fragile ego and false superiority.

It's a political joke. They flow both ways so we just need to lighten up and enjoy the humor. No political party is without major issues.

Exactly. Lying Larry Kudlow was on the other morning and it's gotten to the point you can see it in his face that even he doesn't believe what coming out of his mouth. Porky Pompeo was on this morning......he's still believing.....must be the beta blockers.

Hell, you could see that when he was a weekly guest on the Louis Rukeyser financial news show decades ago. He must have been born with shifty eyes and forked tongue. He's great at covering his *ss, but not very effective in the sand box he plays in now. I kinda like Pompeo, a very smooth talker for a rep.

But, Pelosi, Schumer and Schiff are just the same. So, what's the diff.

Opinion: I've always felt top democrats appeared more educated, polished, eloquent and other attributes that makes/made them more effective liars. Republicans on the other hand are more basic, unpolished and edgy speakers, so it's easy to see when they're lying. Oh, every once in a while you get one with eloquence and polish, but for the most part, a little cruder than top dems.

Never understood why dems act like they're for the little people, because they don't give a rats ***. It's all about money and power to them as well. So, that makes them even more despicable to me.

Louis Rukeyser

There's a name that I have not heard for a long time; we used to watch him to catch Marty (Eeyore) Zwieg's commentary.

And you think that the Repubes are for the little people????

They're more motivated by the 1% that owns them outright than anyone else. I cannot understand why they get any support at all from the little people - they do nothing but consistently rob everybody that they can and constantly lie to the little people.

I can't tell the difference between any politician except the way they say things that are usually the same.
If the party affiliation is not given or known it is especially hard to tell who/what they represent.
Many campaign ads are being run in this area that never mention a party and only mention negative things
without actually naming who the ad supports.

Yes, both are just about equal in their duplicity and manipulation.

I may have said this earlier but I am getting close to being a first time non voter since I was eligible.
But If I don't vote then I can't complain. Hmmm. Maybe just the local elections. Naw. There is no difference.

Nope, never said that. Both are equally scummy. I said the dems try to act like they're for the little people, when they're not. Reps don't hide who they kowtow too.

I never understood the "people of color" supporting the Democrat party over the Republican party or any other.

If the Democrats are for the little people, How come all the big democrat controlled cities have so much poverty crime and homeless.

One of the big issues I keep seeing in the liberal media is systemic racism in this country. If that is the cass then how the hell did Obama get elected president.
