It is a P-40. Done by ref to photos in Stegner's book. I did a P-39 for Seacrest, but delivered it before digital photos. Must get a scanner.

I guess I am the only person with more than one digital photo of a Pacific. They say the Pacific is the most popular steam locomotive.

I don't have photos of engines that won't take the curves of my layout and the CVRR never had any Pacific's.....
But, I'm happy (sort of....) to look at photos from other modelers.......
Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking.

I suppose that could be true. I know that, for whatever reason, the most common wheel arrangement I have ever owned in HO and N were 4-6-2s.
In HO I had several Tyco/Mantua "B&O" examples: a Penn Line/Bowser K4 and the NYC K11; the Akane you see above.I even had an AHM; it was very pretty, but didn't run very well.
In N I had several of the old Atlas models, and some Trix K4s as well.
Now that I think about it, I may still have a couple of American Flyer K5s in the attic someplace!
But nothing in O...sorry.

Re: Did I do my Pacifics?
Well...I still don't know what to call my stuff: 3-rail converted to 2-rail, 2-rail hi-rail, 2-rail, bastardizations,???
Anyway, here's 2 Williams/Samhongsa brass USRA Pacifics, modified to 2-rail/Hi-rail with BPRC electronics. Both ACL engines, the one with white lettering was for passenger trains (need to get some cars now) and the dulux gold lettering was for freight:
I thought I really liked the Williams brass USRA 2-8-2 Mikados, but these Pacifics have grown on me.
I also have a semi-scale Williams die-cast USRA Pacific that turned out to be the correct size for one of Seaboard's smaller Pacifics, no photos.
While the large flanges aren't so noticeable on the drivers, the lead truck definitely shows how big they are
Maybe I'll put some NeoLube on them to try hiding them.

We can put up with them for as long as you can. When you get tired of them just replace them. Nice photos.

Re: Did I do my Pacifics?
I got to thinking about Pacifics....and I do not have one...not one....well, wait...I did pick up a Mantua kit in Half Zero a while back..just because I don't have any Pacifics.
Some day I'll find a SC K4 I can afford (free).

Quality head is the foundation of a good screw
Certainly was for me and I didn't mind reciprocating either.
It's Friday afternoon and just read the thread or I would have responded sooner.

so...is that a SC tender, with the requisite knob simulating oil fill hatch? Never was able to find any Hickem tenders in any All-Nation catalogs.
You really need to get the pilot sorted.
Coupler lift bars, grabs, ladders to running board.
What is that on top of the tailbeam?
Wouldn't look quite so ugly.
Turner....err....Opinion.
I'd run it.

Yes. I see you set the record straight.
I can almost see the eyes of the 3-railers glaze over...
