Dennis, *whew*! I had just checked USPS 'tracking' before logging on. That wonderful feature has been telling me it hadn't left Orangeville yet. Glad I paid extra for it! I been sweatin' it!

It's a linoleum block print. I carve one every Christmas. This one is my 32nd year! They're awfully simplistic, but it's become quite the tradition, and sure as hell gets me in the mood.

It's a scene from the opening credits of a movie the Redhead and I both love, called "True Romance", where the camera is panning over the gritty/distressed/abandoned side of a Detroit Christmas Day.

It's not your typical pretty Christmas scene or theme. But it's a moment that any hobo would understand in a heartbeat, and the exact one I wanted to send around with the tin cups.
The rest of my family and friends will probably just look at them with blank stares, and worry for my sanity! LOL
Hell, if nothing else, maybe it can make us count our blessings.

After evening service at Torrey Pines Church, smoked whitefish, spiral cut ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans with mushrooms. Homemade pizelles rolled into tubes and filled with french vanilla ice cream.

Tomorrow, the family traditional meal at The Shores. A seafood feast for Christmas.

Tramp, the tree is delightful. But I really do like the casements.

I learned of this site from one of Bill-from-Wayne's posts on another site. I clicked on the link provided and have been laughing (and sometimes crying) ever since. While it is the posters to this forum that make it what it is, it would not be possible without Bill maintaining the site and allowing us the freedom to do it. Gomer, set up everyone on me.

Gomer looks surprised. "Where the hell did you come from!!!"
Wayne responds, "I came in at 5 PM MST. I was sitting over in the corner waiting for my friends. I had to get here two hours early because the others planned to be here at 7 PM EST. You see there is a time difference..."

well,,,here I am,,It's 2:15 a.m. my time,,,I must have just missed Santa 'cause the tree is packed!
Part of the problem of working nights is trying to sleep nights when normally I don't!
