(Dennis, that was written by Toby Keith (hence the apol) about Willie Nelson).

That Gomer was a hellian in his heyday. Now he's got a place of his own, serving and tending to us losers. None of you bums never met him before? That Gomer got around.

Tramp, time for your good words about 'losers', if you'd be so kind.

Fellows, here's a poem Tramp wrote about losers. Seems like a good spot for it. Found 'er in the bottom of my pack.

LOSERS

I prefer to drink with losers,
I prefer to drink with both doors open,
I need that breeze passing through the bar,
I need to feel nature somehow all the time.
Yes . . . I prefer to drink with losers:
Those who have lost, who have failed,
Who have come up like weeds through pavement.
I don't like to drink with winners—
The successful and the well-adjusted;
Something that forms them winners
Makes them keep needing to prove things
To themselves and to everyone else.
And there is so very little to prove,
And nothing to prove when you're drinking.
Winners, they rarely buy you a drink,
And certainly never for strangers,
And they always know when to stop drinking.
I've witnessed losers buying rounds
For entire bar rooms—everyone—
All the losers and all the winners.
So hey, drink up—
The bell is ringing,
And I'm buying.

Dennis, I'll give you a hand with that fridge. Two good men ought to be able to do it.

But none of them being around, maybe you and I could give 'er a shot.
:D

Dennis, the world needs a picture of good 'ol Gomer! Hell, there's no describing him in words!

In the meantime, (speakin' of hobos), while the rest of us have been freezing our tails off up north here, I hear-tell Jon's been out playing golf down south-

What do you think Gomer would feel about us just dynamiting the fridge out of the yard?

Yep, We need photographic evidence!!!!! :D

Hey Gang, Let me apologize fer being a bit light on the keystrokes this weekend. Hell, It seemed the only free time I had was fer about 20 minutes in the trainroom last night after the boy finally crashed and the wife got tired of pullin' me around by the cods all day preparing for the seasons festivities. It was sooo nice to sit down with a cold beer and just listen to the chuffing of the engines. Best tonic in the world!!!! I've got a drunk chicken on the smoker and I'm iceing down some brews for the Pats game. :D

Seems Jon's not the only warm-weather hobo that likes golf. Got a picture of San at the women's protest at Augusta National Golf Club.

Well, the tree has been felled and carried home. I now smell just like a pine tree... the dog has been trying to pee on my leg.

But best of all, the annual Christmas Tree Massacre is underway! :D

I detest golf.

As for Gomer, what is it about him? I mean the women, fast automobiles, high stakes gambling.
