No info on the PA..I got from the same guy who I got the PRR Auto Car from.

Both are from Minnesota, USA.

I honestly know nothing about it....do you really know some history on it??? I LOVE to hear it.. Part of the history is what makes this stuff exciting to me.

OK, LS1.

The PA looks very much like one of three that Bill Wolfer carried around from show to show for many years, a full A-B-A set. I had them through my shop easily 35 years ago, as they then belonged to a guy named Bob Clarke, one of the very old DC crowd with John Armstrong and Ted Stepek.

I don't know who built them (could even have been Bill) but Bill got them after Bob passed away. I don't know if Wolfer ever sold them before he also died; he wanted an astronomical amount of money for them, which is why they went from show to show to show...

I can't swear that the one you have is one of them, but it looks like it from what I remember of them.

Meanwhile, I see you've seen the photos of my auto-box. Yep, the one end is different as those are end-doors through which autos were loaded.

Did you pick up that all metal walthers hopper from the guy in NY as well? I got the PRR caboose, the nyc gon, and the Shlitz reefer....The guy screwed me on shipping though. if you got the hooper, I wanted to ask what you though of it.

Dennis, I think there were a couple Monon's online at the same time. I didn't get hopper, and actually I got the All Nations from Vancouver and not NY.

A bit off my beaten path and road name, but the price was surprisingly (disturbingly?) good and so it arrived.....with 3 rail trucks.

And, so this prompted my finding this side frame that after a bit of discussion and coaxing accepted some Athearn bolters and some IM wheelsets.

Of course, the blarsted thing is not set up for KD couplers, so drill and tap......



Got to paint those trucks tomorrow......
