Well, happily and proudly, we have plenty of personalities on this forum , as do so many other forums. So, let's take the occasion to say something that shows what personality we have. Shall we? Who shall start us off?

You definitely do not need to "rent one," being possessed of your own unique qualities and proclivities. Join right in with whatcha got .

Was it Omax/Rick who said I was a pompous know-it-all or something to that effect?

One of his more lucid moments, that.

One of my favourites was when someone wrote a very eloquent letter to Joe at OST complaining that I wrote with a "false modesty".

I enjoyed thoroughly slipping into my next column how I had been accused of writing with a false modesty and that could not true; I wasn't aware that I wrote with any modesty whatsoever.

He didn't get it.

Dave:

You are absolutely spot-on, it was "pompous windbag". :D

Biker Mike was very jealous because he always wanted to be called that. I was very proud; it's to be earned much like "curmudgeon".

Might explain why I've never seen fit to change my little avatar thingy after all this time.

Sarge,

When I met you at York in October of 2010 I knew you immediately having only seen your avatar on MTJ.
And for some reason it was an enjoyable experience.
