Wayne, I think this is down the street from you -

I am sure someone saw the humor in "Broomrape Dead End" but named a dead end street "Broomrape" anyway.

The location is just down the street from me like that mini-lighthouse is just down the street from you.
I rushed right over and took a photo of the lane.

Itinerary:
o Leave Tucson, drive 322 miles due west,
o stop at Broomrape Ln, Lake Havasu
o Take photo.
o Return to Tucson.
o Publish photo on MTJ.

Mission accomplished!

I call any flower that is so small and grows so low to the ground that you have to get
down on your belly to photograph them a belly flower. Broomrape is a belly flower.

What a beautiful rare little flower, thanks Wayne. The thing I miss the most about living out in LA is going out to the desert. I especially miss it now after Tramp and I just spend two hours shoveling out our cars!
