I'm thinking these babies are looking good. Two sets of these as one train under DCS? Hummm, the wrecks are very possible.

They look great, especially the ac units on the roof. Just wondering how they will sound-if they'll be programmed with that distinctive AC motor whine.

Cool pix, Brian, but I'm not happy with the product's look. Where are the digital displays on these babies? Looks like these doors don't open & close either. Maybe I'm asking for too much? Looks alone don't cut it. I want functioning do-dads on these babies!!! I've been riding the A-train & the 1-trains a lot lately & I was thinking to myself, "Wow, I can't wait for these to come out in O-scale". Now I think I can wait some more.
I mean c'mon this is the 21st century, I think by now we should have been seeing mini LED displays on models that required as in the real thing & opening & closing doors should have been a standard by now on this scale. They did a better job on the R-40's based on these pix. Well, that's my token on this...

Hay ben you really don't like them or just bust'in chops? and suzukii what's up? don't think you will see oporating doors on railking sets. I like them an improvement over the the R62s. No more sets for me though all train and hobby stores near me are gone except for one which does not carry MTH or ATLAS products anymore only Lionel and no they never orderd any R27 sets. They do have a nice selection of O scale slot car racing sets and extra cars made by cabarra. HiWay hobbies Rt 17N ramsey Nj.

Hi ya Redbird. If they would've made them in Premier sets with all the bells and whistles I would paid the extra .20 cents. These could have been the 2nd best set next to the R-1's in my collection, except that train hobby buying is on hold for me for quite a while for personal reasons. So for now all I can do is look from afar. I won't set foot into a store or I'll get crazy ideas like buying something.

The Premier sets are all IRT class. I hear what your saying though, this set came out so nice, some bells and whistles would have pushed it over the edge. I hope to have mine soon. Just waiting to hear from old man winter that it's in. If I found a set of new 62's I'd takem.

How many of you guys are going to the open house at the club on the 16th?
