I agree that people living far east or north or south or west of the Arthur Kill may not, but I think every single model railroader living in Staten Island or within sight of the Bayonne, Goethals, Verrazanno or Outerbridge would buy at least one or two or three or four.

I would like to see them make the PATH

I would like to see some models of 67' foot SIRT (lettered Staten Island Rapid Transit and same length as the BMT standards, but with doors near the ends) and the current R-44's (still in use on Staten Island and also in the city).

Norb, Island Mobel Works did the Path car shells. They were made to mount on the Chicago MTH cars. They did a beautiful job on them. I have one set.

I've emailed back and forth with the owner a few time about the SIRT cars. He is going to produce them In the near future. I've asked for two four car sets. The SIRT shells will mount on the MTH BMT chassis.

Thanks Brian and others for your support.
The question now is, who will be first?

Lionel, Island modelworks or MTH?

I have the SIRT cars in HO but only as shells right now. Never dreamed I would even see that! MTH of course will be the one to have with all of the sounds. My only concern is that if they do produce them, they offer at least two paint schemes: the B&O coach green and maybe the add-ons in the B&O blue with yellow trim. I also hope they have the sounds of the door controls being clicked as the conductors closed the doors, the loud traction straight gear sound, compressor chug, and the right voice for the station names.

I could only wish MTH would do it but, my guess would be Island Model Works.

LIONEL might decide to add on opening closet or something and we'll be at $1200.00 or some Sh*t.

Any PATH car including the PA-5's or PA-4's. A R-160- 46/44 or even a 68 all premier. A reissue R36 in redbird colers or take the R40 slant body and put a modified front on it to make a R40m. Oh a R38 wouldn't bother me either. I think they have gotten all they could out of the R17 and low v. MTh has done good with the IRT stuff but how about some more modern IND/BMT stuff don't stop with the R40 slant.

Since MTH already made the Premiere R-1's, why couldn't they have modified those into somewhat similar looking R-7's, R-9's or R-10's ?

Since MTH made the premiere R-11's/R-34's (of which there only ten prototypes) why couldn't they have made the more popular R-38's or R-44's ?

Since MTH already made the Railking R-12's in gray, red, yellow and white, etc. the R17's in blue (with & w/o graffiti) red, yellow and the red R-21's, why didn't they just interchange some of the end doors or side doors (with & w/o circular windows) and turn them into R-15's ?

Since MTH already made the highly desirable Railking R-36's with picture windows, why couldn't they also have made some R-33's ?

I don't think the subway is saturated

unless the roof leaks or tunnels flood.

Some think

the world is full of fun and frolic

and so do I.

Humm, an R44 or 46 would be nice. I would love to have an R15.
