As many of you have seen, I am a big fan of the custom cars and just picked up one last week at Scrap Yard.

Here is a link to my domain where I just posted pictures of most, not all o my custom cars. I know I have at least one in storage that I bought from GRAPHICMONSTER. I'll get that out soon as I am working toward building a permanent layout in my new shed.

So , here's the legend:
:?: I shot multiple pix of each car so you can see the detail
:?: I shot both sides of each car and the ends.
:?: WHere there is nothing on the second side, you see a blank car
:?: I tried to make sure that you at see the original car number in each
:D the actual Art vs. Transit car that I have was in the Graffiti documentary "Style Wars" and is signed by both DURO the artist as well as Henry Chalfant, the movie's producer as well as co-author of "Subway Art."
:?: All but one are non-powered cars. The redbird w/redroof was a locosound but I upgraded it to the PS2 version and then made a powercar out of a yellow workcar from the 2 car add on set.

Enjoy!

Hmmmm.... Maybe. 8)

I bought the 2 car set as I would like to get the 2211-1 set but ain't paying $689.99 for it. 'Know what I mean?

Here's the ironic part. I bought, via their website, the 2211-1 set and then 3 months later the 2211-0 set from Trainworld.com for original MSRP as they had each listed FOR THAT PRICE.

Each time, I got an email the next business day saying it was not available but they had the other version and the price now quoted was MSRP plus roughly $200.

Oh well....

GREAT STUFF!! It goes to show you how well these cars can be. MTH's graffed cars can't compare. Don't get me wrong I have a set of each, with the added MTA logos  .

And to lose the right to use the MTA logo over those cars... It's like Rodney Dangerfield once said, "don't get fired from a bank for stealing pens!" :?

Great stuff gys. I really like the Art vs. Transit car. I'm sure I've seen pics of the original of that somewhere. I've always wanted to copy it somehow. Not sure if my skills we be up to the challenge. Someday maybe.

Chris -

If you have the Style Wars DVD that cobtains the extra DVD with the info on the artists, take a look at the piece on DURO. AT the end of his bit there is a portion where he has a rolling MTH train with each car custom graffed. One of the cars is the Art vs. Transit car.
