Pittsburgh Model Railroad Jamboree - May 3, 2025

Postby G3750 » Tue Apr 22, 2025 8:24 pm

On May 3, 2025 the Keystone Division of the NMRA (greater Pittsburgh area) will once again hold its Model Railroad Jamboree. This event represents the best value in model railroading. For $60 ($50 if you are an NMRA member or TCA member), you get:
  • A day of historical and how-to clinics (12 total) featuring forum members
  • Continental breakfast and lunch included
  • Contests
  • White Elephant Sale
  • Raffles (scale specific)
  • Displays
  • Layout tours (including a number of 3-rail layouts)
For an additional $45 there is a banquet at the end of the day which features Mathew Hurst as speaker.

I've been attending this event every year since 2006. It's a wonderful source of inspiration, information, new ideas, and a chance to meet modelers with similar interests. There will be a number of 3-railers in attendance.

Here's the Jamboree page where you can register on-line: https://www.keystonedivision.o...oree_2025/index.html

If you are in the Pittsburgh area, please join us! This is going to be a lot of fun!

By the way, here are some added incentives to attending.

To date, the Jamboree Committee has collected and organized over $4100 in donations that will be on the raffle tables. And more items are promised between now and the Jamboree. We estimate the total value will exceed $4500 when all is said and done. These are quality items with several of the donations valued at over $400 each!

And don't forget the 50/50 drawing. Last year's winner took home $286.

Bring cash and take your chances!

The Jamboree is now 1 week away - on May 3rd. As well as the terrific clinics, raffles, white elephant sale, food (breakfast and lunch are included), there is the layout tour on the day after (May 4). The Panhandle will be open as will be 15 other layouts. And Hobby Express, an absolutely fabulous hobby shop, is also on the tour and offering a discount to all badge holders.

This really is a great value and if you're close to the Pittsburgh area you should consider attending.

And yes, walk-ins are welcome.

Hope to see you there!
