Lucas,

Is that a scale test car right behind the locos?
They usually run them on the rear because they don't have brakes. ?????

On third and fourth looks it seems to be a steel coil covered gon.

Which picture? The NS train has a coil steel car right behind the engines. The angle makes it look a lot shorter than what it is, as well as the fact that the boxcar behind it is 86' long

This evening's fun was cut short after hearing on the scanner that Conrail RR32 went into emergency after hitting a Triple Crown truck. Unfortunately I was unable to get close enough to the scene of the accident to grab any pictures :(
