For Fans Of John Allen

Here's a clinic on optimizing layout space narrated by the man himself. I never thought I'd hear his voice. I hope the link works. Enjoy.

Jerry Drake's "John Allen's Gorre & Daphetid Railroad" Clinic 780-36

I was surprised to see these videos. John Allen wouldn't let me take photos of his layout because he earned a living from his photography.
I was also puzzled by the video you posted in your link, RBH29, because a lot of stuff seen in the video was not there when I visited John in 1963. Jerry Drake solved the puzzle by dating some of the changes. John kept on building new things after my visit.

Ah yes, Wayne, I remember you mentioning you had visited his layout. I devoured the Model Railroader magazines with Mr. Allen's work featured in them. I was, and still am, fascinated with the Cross Junction Station which was actually built by one of his friends.
